How an inverter AC is different
A non-inverter AC switches its compressor fully on and fully off. An inverter AC uses an electronic drive board in the outdoor unit to run the compressor at variable speed, slowing down as the room reaches the set temperature. This saves power, but it means the AC depends on more electronics: sensors, a control board indoors and a drive board outdoors that talk to each other all the time.

Repairs we carry out
- Fault finding from the error code. We read the code, then measure sensors, voltages and signals to confirm the cause before replacing anything.

- Indoor control board repair. Including display and receiver boards.
- Sensor replacement. Room, indoor coil, outdoor coil, discharge and ambient sensors.
- DC fan motor replacement. Inverter ACs often use electronically driven fan motors indoors and out.
- Communication cable and wiring repair. Damaged or loose wiring between the two units causes many communication errors.

Protecting an inverter AC
Voltage surges and repeated power cuts are among the main causes of drive board failure. A surge protector or stabiliser rated for your AC reduces the risk. Keeping the outdoor coil clean also helps, because a hot, dirty coil makes the electronics run hotter.
